| 0800hrs Breakfast at the hotel 0900hrs Start the tour and first stop is at the Grand Mosque, the only mosque in Oman where visitors are allowed inside. It has the biggest 1 piece handmade Iranian carpet in the world. The interior walls are made of carara marbles. Notes: Grand Mosque is open from Saturday to Wednesday from 0800 hrs to 1100 hrs only. Ladies visiting the mosque are required to wear scarves, cover their hair and wear full sleeves. All clients should not wear shorts, beach wear or sleeveless outfits or transparent clothes. Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum for a glimpse of Oman's glorious past Exhibits include information regarding the Al Busaidi dynasty; with portraits of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said and various other rulers. There are also four galleries on the ground floor that exhibit excellent examples of khanjar (Omani dagger), male and female attire, traditional swords and firearms, antique jewelry and household articles. Drive to the Old Muscat (where guests can see the Al Alam Palace, the official palace of His Majesty and also the 2 Portuguese forts, Jalali & Mirani). Proceed to the Muttrah Souk, one of the most fascinating souks in the Gulf. Muttrah Souk in the heart of Muscat is a traditional market where guests can find fine souvenirs of local handicrafts from Oman. | 0800 hrs Breakfast at the hotel 0900 hrs Proceed to Birkat Al Mouz, an oasis that's home to many trees including bananas and date palm and an old village that wanders up the side of a small mountain. Guests will be able to see the falaj system, the ancient irrigation system used in Oman in the past. In Nizwa visit the traditional souk where the guests can find Omani silver crafts and other local handicrafts. Also visit the famous Nizwa Fort, built in the 1668 and one of the most visited monuments in Oman. It is also the biggest fort in the Arabian Peninsula. Visit the ruins of the ancient village of Tanuf and then proceed to the villages of Bahla & Jabrin where guests can see the Bahla Fort & Jabrin Fort respectively. Bahla Fort has been listed by UNESCO as one of the oldest places of heritage in the world. It is currently under major restoration and not possible to enter. Lunch in Local restaurant Visit the impressive Jabrin Fort where guests can see fine examples of Islamic architecture with wooden inscriptions & paintings on the ceiling. OVERNIGHT IN NIZWA | ||||

| 0800 hrs Breakfast at the camp 0900 hrs Visit Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the most beautiful oasis in Oman. It is a lush valley oasis with date palms & pools surrounded by steep cliffs, where you will enjoy a picnic lunch. Proceed to Sur, short stops in the city of Sur before proceeding to Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve After dinner at approx. 21:00 hrs drive to Ras Al Jinz beach to watch the green turtles. The beaches of the peninsula of Ras al Hadd, which stretches between Ras Ar Ruwais and Khuwr Jaramah, attract the largest number of Green Turtles nesting in Oman. This is one of the only few large nesting aggregations of Green Turtles known in the Indian Ocean. OVERNIGHT at RAS AL JINZ TURTLE RESERVE | ||||
